SMD BIN WIN: Redux
After a year of lack of updates to my first popular application, I began work on a completely new SEGA Genesis ROM tool (designed for legal ROMs). It is currently in an Alpha state and has no scheduled release date.
Currently, the features planned are:
- Plugin support
- Designed for Windows Vista
- Written in completely managed code (.NET Framework)
- Increased stability
- Language file support using the new CULF (Codeisle Universal Language File) XML Schema Specifications
- Support for right to left languages (ex. Arabic)
- Unicode Support
- Auto Updates
- Improved help system
- Ability to uncompress files, convert them, and recompress them on the fly.
- Unlimited Conversion Number (convert 10, 000 files in one press of a button if you have the memory for it!)
- New theme designed by Mike (A.K.A VectorMan)
Along with these features, through the introduction of plugin development, new converters for other file formats may be added in the future.
Specification for plugin development will be released eventually, along with documentation for the CULF Schema, which is currently in the test phase.
